Our next Raw Food Potluck Dinner will be on Sunday February 18 at Lane's house in Manhattan. I'll fill in the rest of the details as I get them.
Date: Sunday, March 17, 2007
Time: 4 to 7pm
Location: Robert Spector's apartment.
To RSVP or get directions call Robert at 917-363-3639.
What To Bring: At this potluck we want to limit the foods to raw and organic whole fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. If you want to make a recipe we suggest you use recipes from the new 80/10/10 Diet book by Dr. Douglas Graham.
Or if you make a recipe that is not directly out of that book, please try to follow the 80/10/10 guidelines. Please don't add any salt or spices to your meal. Try to keep the combinations of foods to less than 5. You can use mild herbs to create additional flavoring and raw dressings.
Please don't add apple cider vinegar, Nama Shoyu or other similar ingredients to your recipes. We'll be eating as simply as possible and therefore feeling light and full of energy and enjoying each others company. This will be instead of what people usually feel after attending raw potlucks and getting sick to their stomachs from too many hard to digest combinations and heavy fatty foods.
The great news is that the food preparation will be extremely easy. Bringing a washed bag of organic grapes would do the trick. Or how about bringing two hands of ripe organic bananas or three avocados. This will be the easiest raw potluck you've ever had to prepare food for. Maybe a salad will be slightly more complicated.
Suggested Donation: $3.00
